Provide first aid (HLTAID011)

Overview

The unit of competency HLTAID011 Provide First Aid describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Baker Ebert recommends, as per the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice for and the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, that first aid skills are renewed every 3 years and resuscitation skills
(HLTAID009 – CPR) are renewed every 12 months
